Lately it feels like inspiration is coming from everywhere!

Last week, after a morning of teaching at one school, I spent the afternoon visiting another. I cannot express how impressed I was with the physical environment of the school, the dedication of the teachers, and the cheerful innocence of the students!

What a wonderful experience it has been to break out of my rut a little bit and see what other people are doing out there! It’s so easy to feel a bit isolated and solitary in this work. For so many years I felt like I was just doing my thing in my own little corner of the school. When you’re so busy it is easy to forget that there are so many other people doing the same thing.

It’s also been good to see that there are other truly wonderful schools out there! I just love our school so much that it has been hard for me to think about the possibility of leaving it someday. But I can now see that there are some pretty great places out there and that it might not be such a terrible thing if I found myself being called to teach somewhere else.

More and more I am realizing how important it is to simply be open to the gifts of inspiration that come. Who knows what will come next?!
