What is it about Mondays? I was so completely unprepared for the absolute lethargy that overtook my daughter today. I tried jumping jacks, sending her on chores around the house, a protein-rich breakfast — but still, she just couldn’t do anything today! After a little bit of work in a lesson that was already shortened due to cello, I threw in the towel.

Thank goodness for cello! I’m so glad we scheduled it on Mondays. It was just the pick-me-up that she needed! Sometimes a change of scenery is just the ticket.

After today’s non-event, we’re a little bit behind, but not terribly. Tomorrow we’re going to do a wet-on-wet painting for our algae recall — I’ll post pics tomorrow. This weekend is our planned mother-daughter backpacking trip — fun, fun, fun!
